A fish-bowl full of goodness for FLUTD sufferers

Feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) is a complex set of conditions that irritate a cat’s urinary tract. Bladder stones (similar to human kidney stones) and Feline Interstitial Cystitis are the main conditions. Both can cause pain and blockages which may become life-threatening if left untreated. If your cat is showing any signs of discomfort, has changed its normal urination pattern or has discoloured urine take it to the vet as a matter of urgency.

The vet is likely to prescribe a change in diet as part of the management plan for FLUTD. Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d Multicare has been clinically proven to help address the four major causes. It has increased levels of omega 3 fatty acids and added antioxidants that can help reduce pain and inflammation. It can help to dissolve Struvite stones in as little as 14 days and will reduce the recurrence of Struvite and Calcium Oxalate stones and crystals. It contains no excess salt, which could be harmful, and produces a urine pH suitable for long-term feeding. Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d is formulated for the management of FLUTD but is also suitable for healthy adult cats, which can make life easier in a home with more than one.

From July, at participating vets, Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d Multicare will be available as a convenient box set that includes 1.5kg bag of kibbles, 12 x 85g easy-to-use sachets of c/d Tender Chunks in Gravy, and a free attractive stainless fish-shaped feeding bowl.  This box set will only be available at veterinary practices while stocks last.

Hills Prescription Diet c/d Multicare is available exclusively ‘on prescription’ from veterinarians in Chicken and Ocean Fish flavours, as dry kibbles, cans and Tender Chunks in Gravy sachets. It is also available as Reduced Calorie for overweight cats.
