02. Who are we?
RED ESCape
RED ESCape offers a unique blend of Shiraz and Pinotage with rich fruit-flavours. On the nose, the wine displays a “truffley” earthiness enveloped by the sweet, fruity nuances of ripe mulberries and other red fruit. On the palate, the wine is full, rich and succulent and, notwithstanding its firm tannin-structure, exceptionally friendly.
The sweet ripeness, initially evident on the nose, follows through perfectly onto the palate while the quirky cherry-flavours combine flawlessly with the smoky hints of Parma ham and bacon.
Winemaker, Guy Webber, ascribes the great taste of RED ESCape to the farm’s superb terroir, situated in what is locally referred to as the Wineland’s Golden Triangle.
