Uitkyk
It would be difficult to find a more idyllic setting in the South African Winelands than Uitkyk.
Situated just outside Stellenbosch, Uitkyk means “look-out” and the name was truly a fortunate choice. Dotted all over the 600 hectare farm are magnificent viewsites offering incomparable vistas of the Cape Peninsula, False Bay and Table Bay.
Established in 1712, the historic estate is steeped in the traditions of the Cape. Uitkyk’s appeal is such that over the centuries, it has charmed world-renowned artists and noblemen making for quite a colourful chronicle.
